Mikroconchoecia acuticosta (Müller, G.W., 1906) Records: 115
This is one of the larger Mikroconchoeciaspecies, which is a genus of small, quite similar globose species with highly sculptured carapaces. The characteristic that immediately distinguishes members of this genus from majority of others is that the sensory setae on the first antennae of both sexes are bifid. Diel vertical migrations have not been reported for this rather infrequently caught species, but has been in the two smaller species, which are often caught in high abundance and have similar bathymetric distributions.
